Artist/Graphic Designer wanted…

I have no intention of ever paying you and I want to use you and then abdondon you and steal all your hard work .. and claim it as my own and then never ever ever pay you.. I am no better than a common street thug and will outsource anything that I want produced if I am not able to find an American to do the job. I will commonly ask you to steal art and you will get left holding the bag if anyone ever questions you about it etc.. Please submit your art for my T-Shirts that I sell and profit from.. I want ideas that you put your blood sweat and tears into that take you literally hours to complete .. please keep in mind I have NO intention of ever paying you and I will make the empty promise of “Sharing the profits”..

No, this isn’t my advertisement! I found this on Craigslist.org and almost peed my pants.

This is the new Cafepress business model. Their shopkeepers just took a 60-80% pay cut. Many are already leaving, most plan to leave. I’m surprised you haven’t done a post about that here. It’s huge news.

I fully expect to see facsimile designs of their bestsellers: no roylaties for designers, just a ripoff. And what’s the short term money grab for (literally an 80% increase for CP per item) ? Well, uh, last July they bought Imagekind. This July, we shall see. Either they are fending off a takeover, or they’re looking to invest . . . or something.

Cafepress charges shopkeepers WAY too much for the products. They use the artists to essentially sell THEIR products which are sold to shopkeepers at retail prices.
And why they changed the marketplace commissions, I have no clue. Do they WANT people to leave?

sounds like the average corporation thug disguising their “artist program” for what it really is, a raping of the intellect and creativity of the artist. They sell a million units and pay the artist 500$ what a joke!!!
