Zazzle Chooses SEO over Usability, Community Recognition, and Overall Experience

If you raised $17 million is this how you would design your homepage?

Personally, I think this just looks like Zazzle hired some SEO firm who convinced them they needed more text links on their homepage because its the right thing to do for SEO. It isn’t inviting, it isn’t pretty, it is just a text based sitemap on the homepage. What bothers me the most is that they have ditched almost every aspect that suggests that Zazzle is a community of designers for a page of text links. Any sense of community has been reduced to six text links on the bottom fold in the far right corner.
