Inside the Shirt.Woot Printing Facility

Woot Shirts launched in July of 2007 and had almost instant success selling a different limited edition t-shirt every day. Designs are submitted by users as part of a weekly Shirt Design Derby and selected by Woot staff in the main Woot office in St. Louis. Each day a new t-shirt is sold on shirt.woot for as little as $10 with free shipping. But you have to be quick to decide if you want to purchase a t-shirt from shirt.woot because they sometimes sell out fast.

Inside Shirt.Woot

Shirt.woot recently provided an inside look at their printing facility in Carrollton Texas. The process shows American Apparel t-shirts printed using silk screening. Steps include the color-separating process, transparency print outs, fixing the screens, all the way to the final printed and ready to ship t-shirts. If you know the cost of things such as William Shaner’s kidney stone, a 2008 Toyota Camry, 12 ounces of Almas caviar and a few other random facts you can figure out how much shirt.woot has invested in t-shirt machinery.
