I don’t know about you but I will wear a t-shirt any chance I get and that includes incorporating one into a t-shirt costume. However, in years past I always waited too long to order one online and never really had a great t-shirt for Halloween. But T-Shirts are easy costumes for Halloween, especially for children because they are simple and usually reasonably priced. Order kids who don’t want to put a lot of effort into their costumes can also make use of t-shirts on Halloween with themes of pirate, pumpkins, Charlie Brown, and tons of other fun or offensive t-shirt ideas for Halloween.
This month there is what is probably the very first T-shirt costume contest ever. It’s the Etsy Costume Contest and there are going to be 18 winners with over $2,000 in prizes. There will be three winners in six categories that include: Pet, Kid & Baby, T-Shirt Costume, Sci-Fi, Green, and General Awesomeness.
The deadline to submit your costume into your Etsy costume is 10/26/07. Tag your costume with ‘costumecon’, choose the appropriate category in the item description and limit your submissions to three entries per category. So onto the category that is important to us t-shirt lovers. “Reconstruct, print and/or embellish a new or old t-shirt into a costume”. Submissions will be rated on craftsmanship and creativity. and enter it to win great prizes from Winners will receive prizes and street cred from Etsy, Threadless.com, and T-critic.com.
