Zazzle really has been the king of building relationships with other businesses (compared to other t-shirt companies). Whether it is a deal for content with Disney or historical collections, striking a deal for customized U.S. postage, acquiring Confego, or a deal for printing its content (Flickr n’ Zazzle). These types of relationships really grow the business and bring in new customers that were previously unaccessible. Zazzle announced that they have teamed up Corel to offer Zazzle’s printing services within Corel Painter(TM) Essentials 4. Corel Painter is a widely used raster graphics software program that has been around for 13 years and features drawing tools such as brushes, textures and other art creating tools. You can create art from scratch or modify your own photographs.
With this new partnership between Zazzle and Corel users at home can easily purchase their created graphics at Zazzle.com. While I have not seen Corel Painter with new Zazzle options, my guess is that it is a simple link that automatically uploads your design to the Zazzle product designer studio.
What does this mean? Well its bigger than you might think. This could potentially attract tons of new customers to Zazzle from the offline world. It is hard to believe but there are still millions of people who have yet to try using the internet to get their pictures printed on products. If the Zazzle integration makes it easy for customers to purchase products then it really could mean great news for Zazzle. If it’s a crappy integration that doesn’t make it easy well it was probably a waste of time. If you have tried the new Corel Painter Essentials 4 please let us know what you think about the new Zazzle integration.
