We are back! Updates should be multiple times per week now.

Put Your Flickr Images on T-Shirts and Products – Flickr & Zazzle strike a deal

You can now take your Flickr photos and put them on custom products at Zazzle.com. As I am sure you know, Zazzle has quite the product lineup of: Bumper Stickers,Buttons, Stickers, Magnets, Keychains, Hats. Mugs, Framed Prints, Canvas Prints, Photo Scluptures, Posters, and of course Photo Prints. To make photos interesting on t-shirt or other products you can use the new Zazzle template system (read more about templates at the Zazzle Blog). Here are a few examples of what the templates look like. Basically you can just put your image into a heart or a vintage heart or basically a variety of options besides the boring square photo.

Zazzle Templates

After you select your template and go to the Zazzle Product Designer you can them select “Choose an Image” and you have the option to get one from your Zazzle account, your computer, OR your Flickr account.

Zazzle Flickr

This might sound like a minor relationship but as we all know Flickr is huge. With the death of Yahoo photos its one of the largest uber photo sites on the web. This is only a deal that a giant like Zazzle could afford and I am sure it will pay for itself in no time at all. I still am not a fan of pictures on t-shirts whether or not it is in the shape of a rectangle OR a heart but if you are up for it, go create something at Zazzle.

Very interesting. Flickr has an api though doesn’t it? So this might not a deal as such, just a tool they’ve developed. Either way its a smart idea, thanks for pointing me to it :)

“The Flickr API is available for non-commercial use by outside developers. Commercial use is possible by prior arrangement”(Source: Flickr API )

As I understand it from someone I know at Yahoo, it is possible for commercial but very expensive.

Check out the new experience we have with Flickr that we just updated last night. You can go to any image in your account, click “Order Prints”, and click on the Zazzle link. You’ll immediately be taken to a page with hundreds of products ready-to-order with your image inside. You can further design the products before ordering too. http://www.zazzle.com/flickr

    Thanks,

uh…aren’t there too many stolen pics on flickr for them to be offering prints and putting them on t-shirts? sounds like a great lawsuit.
