Printfection Review.
Earlier this year Printfection joined the club of companies that 
allow anyone to start their own t-shirt business online for free. Printfection allows you to upload your t-shirt designs and apply them to a wide selection of products. Products are available in your own storefront on the Printfection domain and in their marketplace. The marketplace has a nice feature for customers that allows shop by design or product. You can customize the appearance of your storefront to your liking while only keeping a small banner with the Prinfection logo/contact information.
So how is Printfection different from the other t-shirt fulfillment companies like Cafepress, Spreadshirt, Zazzle, 99dogs? Well, it is a nice site but really doesn’t appear to offer anything different than other companies who have been around for a few years. There aren’t any additional products (except the placemat), no community or web 2.0 features. It is a nice site and pretty easy to use (with the exception of the templates for the stores) but I would have expected a company trying to start-up in this saturated t-shirt market might want to add features or take an angle that was different from everyone else. I must tell you though that customer service at Printection was great for me. I received fast and friendly responses regarding my questions when I was setting up a storefront.
It seems Printfection’s success will be reliant on their ability to find a niche, generate traffic, and meeting the needs of their shopowners. Currently, Printfection’s primary driver of interest and traffic seems to be from their coupons and specials. The have an t-shirt offer for a $2 custom t-shirt. Sounds like a great deal and might bring them buzz to get their name out and hopefully potential shoppers in the marketplace. Printfection will still need to find an additional draw to their site if they want to stand out from the crowd. For more information visit Printfection.
